My personal favorite, at least at the time, was Pitchfork's review of NIN's The Fragile. The opening paragraph always made me laugh:

Really? So then how is dubstep different than trip hop? Or are they synonymous? Or is dubstep just trip hop released after 2005? I have so many questions.

Honestly, though, MTV was just riding a wave with the Strokes/White Stripes. There was serious buzz building in the music press (particularly the British press and particularly with the Strokes) long before MTV would even get next to those bands' videos.

God, I loved Indie 103.1. I miss it turribly.
