I've learned that music reviewers can describe anything as "precocious" if they try - I play a vintage Farfisa combo organ and a reviewer once described it as "precocious."

If I could, I'd up vote this twice - once for the actual content and once more for the username.
Yeah, I have never understood the girl/guy harmony/tradeoff thing being instantly labeled "cute" - it seems very dismissive.
I have this same issue with my own band. Mostly with the local press. Our first EP was labeled "twee" by the biggest local alt-weekly once and it sort of stuck, even though we really aren't a "twee pop" band (and this is no judgement against the genre - I like plenty of twee pop bands - but it's just not really what…
I really like that album a lot. "Lloyd, I'm Ready to be Heartbroken," "Tears for Affairs," the title track, "If Looks Could Kill" - great stuff.
Actually I have seen it. Hoskins in "fuck it, I'm going to get drunk and just try to make it to the wrap party" mode was still entertaining. Among the movie's seemingly endless list of problems, he wasn't one of 'em.
Hoskins never gave it less than his all in everything I've ever seen him in. He was always so magnetic, so potent a screen presence that you could never look away. What an utterly brilliant talent.
Orci & Kurtzman aren't writing the Star Wars movies. I think they're the biggest problem with the Abrams Trek movies, not Abrams. Pair his visuals with better scripts and you'd be onto something.
I count, what, three or four of us in the comments of this article who go against the otherwise huge praise this band gets on the AV Club every time they're brought up. That's not much of a rush. More like a minor unrest.
Oh……I'll be hanging on to that.
The constant and basically universal praise for them around the AV Club made me check out their stuff several times. I just can't get into them at all. I found Civilian, for one example, to be honestly kinda boring and dreary. Wasn't a fan of their Undercover appearances (apart from the conceptual level - "hey, Wye…
It became extra-obvious right around when I posted that. Live & learn.
Yeah, Kevin Murphy is and always will be the one true Servo. He gave him such a distinctive personality.
Veronica Belmont, I think. I actually quite liked having her on board, was disappointed she didn't come back to do Part II.
Are we SURE this isn't Chris Conley?
This is getting unhealthy.
Uh…ok.
The shorts are almost always total greatness. They always seem to have a blast with them.
I have loved a lot of the VOD. The Dr. Who movies, Crater Lake Monster, Kingdom of the Spiders, etc. - there's some great stuff. And the shorts are, as ever, almost always total gold.
Yeah, that's…not true at all. The vast majority is still cracking jokes, not bluntly stating "this movie is so painful" etc. etc.
