I love both Joel and Mike. They're different, but I appreciate both approaches. I got my start with Mike, so that's where my favorites are, but I totally love Joel eps as well.

Agreed. They've definitely been having a great time with recurring characters/references, which I appreciate. Things that link back to MST3k, things that link to other Rifftrax installments, etc.

Agreed. I've watched more Rifftrax than is probably healthy and while yes, it's *different,* I never got this "whining" or "tantrum" thing from any of it. They'd talk about how painful the movie was on MST3k more than once as well.

No idea where you get that from - I don't hear any "hissy fits" or "tantrums" in Rifftrax, and I've listened to/watched a ton of them.

I've listened to several of his own songs, and…still don't get it. I see people freak out over this guy but nothing does anything for me at all. Oh well.

I'm betting there's a trailer with those large all-caps block letters in a solid red or blue, as required of *all* CGI family movies these days.

Absolutely, on both counts. It helps that I'm a huge Darwyn Cooke fan, but I thought "New Frontier" was a really great adaptation (especially considering the time restrictions the DC animated movies often seem to have).

I also thought that Jeremy Sisto wasn't bad in "The New Frontier" - different, yeah, but I thought it worked pretty well. (I quite liked the voice cast all around on that one - Kyle MacLachlan as Superman, Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman, Neil Patrick Harris as The Flash, David Boreanaz as Green Lantern, Miguel Ferrar

Yes, because "expressing one's opinion of the subject of the article" is "trolling." Bonus points because the "trolling" in question roughly lines up with the majority of the other comments, just like Internet trolling…usually does?

About to click play…I'm predicting a lot of overdone reverb, "dreaminess" (which is apparently massively popular with hip youths these days), a vaguely tribal-ish beat, and breathy vocals - maybe with a weak falsetto here and there.

Velocity Girl is one of those bands I miss terribly.

I fucking love Simpatico. It's always been on a short list of albums I feel are basically perfect. Love every track, from start to finish.

Uh, OK.

Disappointed by the AV Club's dismissal of Ex Hex - I thought they were fantastic.

Thing is, there is absolutely zero benefit to Pono's 24bit, 192khz audio files - and in fact, it may actually sound *worse*. These links do a great job explaining why this entire concept is pointless and ill-conceived, just another way to separate audiophiles from their money:

Yeah, Teti is a good video…guy.

A real Taste Test video? Not just "we eat candy on Instagram?" I thought these were extinct.

The A.V. Club

It is a weird culture we have where the drinking of perfectly good drinks made from almonds or soy is seen as unusual and wrong compared to sucking down the secretions of a completely different mammal.

Unlike the Beck cover, this band gets the full assortment of points for this art - a pastel-hued washed-out Instagram photo *and* a pointless geometric shape - the usual circle - overlaid on top. Bonus points are awarded for filling the circle with presumably nonsense "mystical" symbology.
