Understood - fans of a web site that introduced them to some great music in the past aren't allowed to be bothered that that is happening with decreasing regularity.

Glad that we never got a review of, say, Eleanor Friedberger's new album, but we're getting admonitions to listen to Katy Perry.

I can't hear the word "allegedly" in the voice of Keenan Thompson as Star Jones without hearing it in the voice of Tracy Morgan as Star Jones.

This is my problem. If something sports related had showed up during the golden time, it would still have seemed out-of-place and irritating to me, but I could just ignore it and go about my day. Now, though, with the way the site's been trending, this just seems off-putting and weird. It's like, couldn't we focus

Yeah. "Hey guys, the music coverage has gone to hell - we'll badly review two albums a week, and one of them must be Miley Cyrus or similar - but at least we've now got sports!"

I've been seeing outlets I normally respect showering praise upon this album, and I finally took a listen - I don't know what everybody's on about. I get that a lot of critics now have the attitude of "it's OK if the lyrics aren't deep/meaningful/complicated/etc., because they're just trying to be nice pop songs!,"

I still enjoy playing SimCity 4. The other day when I loaded it up and saw the copyright date and realized it's working on its ELEVENTH year and there is still no true follow-up just angered up the blood.

Ha, yes, indeed. The situation for natural-waist men's pants is considerably more dire than for women's pants.

This. I really can't stand low-rise pants, but that's about all you can find now.

I'm 6'3" and I don't even like low-rise pants. I *hate* having my shirt come untucked, I hate looking like I'm 70% torso, and I hate having my shirt and tie visible below the buttons of my jacket. I'd have thought that low-rise would have gone away by now, or at least wouldn't be basically the *only* option, but

And central Fort Worth has a fairly long-running openly gay city councilman (plus it's the district Wendy Davis hails from).

Holy shit, I can't believe that's real.

Agreed. It seems my podcast taste just barely intersects with the AVC universe anymore - I love JJGO, along with MaxFun sister shows Judge John Hodgman and MBMBaM, and along with HDTGM forms the core of my podcast-listening habit alongside various tech shows and more obscure fare. For whatever reason, I've never

And the riffing whenever our leading plank of wood, err, man broke out his bizarre Southern plantation owner affectation whenever he addressed Dr. Gavin's maid:

Last of the Wild Horses is a great one - the riffing is firing on all cylinders, the movie is watchably cheesy/ridiculous, and it's got that fantastic Star Trek Mirror Universe thing running through the host segments.

Operation Double-O Girl Scout

"Roxy, I'm gonna sing myself to sleep."

Uh, is there a credit that says "guy at the end?"

I stand corrected - she's not a werewolf. She merely joined the cast of "Cats."
