Lesley Ann Warren is one of those actresses who had been around for years, given memorable performances in several projects and shown her range in wide variety of roles and yet somehow, never quite made it to leading lady status despite coming close several times.

It speaks to the considerable acting talents of both Marc Alaimo and Andrew Robinson and how they both brought such depth and complexity to the respective roles of Gul Dukat & Garak on DS9. It's also helped by the level of writing that was afforded to both these characters and how interesting they were to watch.

I meant crime procedual drama shows. From all of the "CSI", L&O", "NCIS" shows to "Criminal Minds", "The Mentalist", "Bones", "Castle", "Hawaii Five-O" etc. This by far and away has been the most popular kind of drama to that hit the airwaves in the last ten years.

I like the fact that you mentioned "Revenge" since this show harks back to the 80's primetime soaps more than other programs in recent memory including "Desperate Housewives" (which had a more playful, tongue-in-cheek approach).

Primetime soaps were the dominant form of television drama back in the 80's in much the same way as westerns were hugely popular in the 60's and crime procedual drama shows which now populate the television landscape.

Bob Welch in many ways has become "the forgotten man" of Fleetwood Mac. Because his period within the group marked their transition from a british blues based band to a more mainstream pop/rock US sound, fans and listeners forget the contributions he made to the Mac.

Well said. Neelix was suppose to be "comic relief" on ST: VOY yet more often than not, his presence was neither comedic nor relieving. It was grating and annoying and the fact that the writers kept playing up the most irritating aspects of his personality just made fans dislike him even more so despite the

A criticism that was often levelled at Terry Farrell during the early seasons of DS9 was that  performance wise, she was so laid back as Dax, that the character bordered on being comatose. But as Zack points out in his review, Dax doesn't have the level of angst or the baggage that Sisko, Kira & Odo have, nor is she

The problem with many television shows today (and the fault primarily lies with producers, studio heads and network execs) is when to let a series go. Because there is have a finanicial stake in said program, many want to milk the proverbal cow dry until it stops generating revenue. The problem with this however is

SPOILERS

You're quite right and I actually forgot about that episode (which was also another revelation about what another main character did in their past and how it comes back to haunt them in the present). I was referring to something else that happens afterwards.

We're not even at the halfway point of season two and DS9 has already proven it's a series that doesn't paint the universe as black or white. There are many grey areas the show manages to touch on and from there, plot threads and ongoing storylines begin to emerge that will carry on through until the end of the series.
