In terms of humour, "Green Acres" was pretty far removed from the other two sitcoms that shared the same universe ("The Beverly Hillbillies" & "Petticoat Junction"). Whereas "Hillbillies" drew it's laughs from the country bumpkin antics of the Clampetts and how naive they were to the ways of the world and "Petticoat"

One can only assume that the London olympic organizers must have been living in a remote part of the world with no access to television, radio, newspapers or the internet not to know that Keith Moon is dead and has been for more than three decades!. In this day and age of instant information (not to mention that his

It's easy for adults to have a snaky attitude and diss on things we don't like. Bear in mind that Jake Lloyd was only a child when he did Phatom Menace and like Wil Wheaton before him on TNG, both were subjected to nasty and at times downright horrible repsonses from fans.

One can only assume that HBO must be spending a small fortune on CGI for shows like "Boardwalk". That being said, the work that's done on the series is quite impressive. Funny to think that nowadays we can achieve almost any look through the use of computer technology. Not so long ago, this would not have been

"Southland" continues to be one of television's undiscovered gems. TNT have given the show a sense of purpose and it's reflected in every aspect of the series. From it's terrific cast, it's solid storytelling and strong production values. There is a sense of authenticity at play. Nothing is hyped up or over done. You

There's a school of thought that stand up comedy is where male performers thrive and women less so. Whilst a number of female artists have had succseeful careers in stand up (Joan Rivers, Roseanne, Ellen DeGeneres, Kathy Griffin etc), it's men that seem to have a bigger impact in this field.

ANNOUNCER: "And the nominees for best performance by a supporting actor who looks like they've been stunned by a tazer and wheeled into position for the cameras are……"

It never ceases to surprise me just how desperate network execs will get when it comes to rehashing ideas/concepts that are well and truly past their use by date.

Unlike many television shows today, TNG did not outstay it's welcome. It left on a strong note. I've always maintained
that a series is generally at it's best during the first five years. This is the
period where the stories are fresh and exciting, the performances are at their
strongest and the characters are at their

When the contestants are forced to hunt, kill and eat each other and then turn all "Lord of the Flies" on host Jeff Probst, then count me in. Until then, I prefer my reality tv subjects all showered and clean clothed thank you very much…….

If these women are suppose to represent a "conservative" voice in the American political scene, then it's time to get some other ladies because they sure as hell couldn't articulate a proper argument to save their lives. Victoria Jackson in particular comes off as a woman who suffered a massive stroke and rambles on

As talented as James Callis is as an actor, his "going out of his mind" portrayal of Gaius Baltar was becoming more than one note by the time the series ended. Add to the fact that the character had very little going for him in terms of likeability - I personally could only handle Baltar in small doses. It's

Considering the fact that he was the only child actor on the show, he was not that bad. As he got older, his performances got better. There was a level of maturity in his portrayal that the writers were able to bring out in the later seasons of DS9.

I thought the whole cast were quite capable in their respective roles and consistently gave strong performances. In fact I can't think of anyone who was either woefully miscast or constantly lacklustre in their acting.

At least it's something different from the ENDLESS array of crime procedual drama shows that are currently on the air or your standard medical/lawyer based series. I applaud the fact that ABC are attempting something that breaks out of that norm. How long it last is anyone's guess but I hope it works……

"Dear FOX News, if you don't like Maroon 5, why play their music in the first place?. Oh and yes, you are evil and calling yourselves a news outlet is highly amusing not to mention woefully misleading"…….

The fact that "Fox" NEVER agreed to the cast getting a cut in the show's profits during the numerous contract negotitations over the years (instead, allowing them to have top of the line salaries) must have an indication that this was not going to happen. Keep the talent happy by increasing their pay packets but don't

With a career spanning three decades, 15 studio albums and sales exceeding more than 30 million worldwide (not to mention Grammy noms and wins) as well as attaining a level of critical and commerical success that many bands don't achieve in their lifetime  R.E.M have left their mark of the American musical landscape

Not loving Troi that much I gather…….

- I meant the drop in quality is something for another post……. But I do agree with you on this point……
