Season seven wasn't the major misfire that many people seem to think it was. There were a number of good episodes - along with the occasional misstep. The feeling I got was that everyone involved knew this would be the last season so there was a sense of closure involved.

Yes we are - at least I hope we are! :). As I said, the character was under ultiised and not given enough room to develop because the writers never had a clear handle of who she should of been and what she was capable of until the last two seasons where Troi began being fleshed out and had space to grow.

The sixth season of "TNG" saw the series become more experimental in it's approach to storytelling. Unlike season five (which was good) but played it safe and rode on the crest of seasons three and four's brilliance, year six saw the writer's taking risks and giving the TNG regulars room to develop their characters

Hey there "The Ghost of Tom Riddle!"

Season Six Performances….
This was the year where certain members of the TNG cast were able to step out and shine. Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes are the two that immediately spring to mind. Sirtis gave her best performance in "Face of the Enemy" and likewise Frakes does a stellar job with "Frame of Mind".

No probs. I get into trouble every now and then for my sense of humour as well!. No hard feelings man!

You do realise I'm talking about success within the music industry don't you?. Not the kind of "success" (and I do use that term loosely) that would result in the death of millions……..

The fact that their music…..
Is still being played and discuss more than three decades later is a testament to their durability as a music group. I find music has a tendancy of bringing out the worst in people's attitudes (along with the best).

Despite it's flaws……
I still enjoyed this TV movie a great deal. For starters, the BBC were more than happy keeping the show in a state of limbo whilst making money of it from it's merchandising sales (books, audio tapes & CD's, video releases) etc. Secondily this was the first time we as viewers got to see "DW" on a

The damage was done and rot had set in……
The Colin Baker era is largely seen as a failure. Creative misjudgements, over the top performances bordering on outright hammy saw "Doctor Who" looking increasingly out of step with the time. The budget limitations and "quaint" special effects made the series look cheap

Troi gets to call the shots!
And about damn time!. Already at the midpoint of season six and Marina Sirtis is FINALLY give the opportunity to show that Deanna Troi can be strong and assertive when the situation calls for it. "Face Of The Enemy" is probably one of the best stories to feature her character.
