"For NBC, however, there’s little here to laugh about, not even a guy struggling with Parkinson’s disease."

We'll always have his masterful turn in Bee Movie…

Maybe not a major nom, but I'll always recall how Everwood actually managed to get some recognition for James Earl Jones' guest appearance.

I still remember laughing a lot at the interplay between Pierce and Britta when he tries to get her off of the computer so he can send an e-mail before the post office closes.

Yeah, I don't know what it was about "Herstory of Dance", but it just seemed to hit the right tone. Really felt like it could have fit somewhere in the first 3 seasons of the show.

I, too, thought the title was a reference to Man of Steel.

This just reminds me of how I discovered the "Sad Clown" TV tropes page last night.  Harmon fits so, so well.

Oooh, now I realize that I really want to see that Nic Cage episode they were talking about doing last year before Harmon got fired.

Stop saying that! It's a good show! Don't let your logic ruin this for me!

Stephen Colbert offers a counterpoint to that.

Yeah, I took umbrage with that point. West Wing wasn't always perfect, but this was Season 1 West Wing we're talking about, which still holds up as an immensely powerful season of television. "In Excelsis Deo", while not nearly as iconic an episode as "Hush", was certainly an inspired choice for the Television Academy

And Bryan Cranston

Since we're all doing it, mine so far are:

The lack of Jake Johnson in this comment is disturbing.

To be fair, many of the Oscar-bait ones don't get major releases until October-December, anyway.

I always forget that Martin Landau and Juliet Landau are related. I find that to both be fucking epic and immensely hilarious, given the vampire connection.

I recall hearing somewhere he respected him to the point of playing chess with Kubrick quite often on the set.
