Fuck you, haters: Salem are huge fun.

Madchester and baggy and all that 'blissed out' cobblers was like a disease in the late 80s/early 90s.

Astro - Carbrain was the b-side of the equally excellent Crush the Flowers, and was on the delightfully twee Sarah Records.

No love for The Road to Wellville?

Mylo - Destroy Rock n Roll. A list of crappy 80s no-marks is the entire vocal component of that beaut.

It's Yazoo, not Yaz.

No hate for that horrible Homer's Quest episode from season eight? Honestly, I think that cloying, unfunny shit is one of the worst of all time (although I've not watched the show to any great degree for about eight years).

It was a while back, and cinema security is a lot tighter here in the UK than it appears to be in the US.

They're clearly a much better band with Gillian in them.

I'll refer you to the comment I made about yesterday's efforts. This is some weak shit, USA.

Nothing witty, snarky or ass-hatty to add. These shows all look terrible.

No takers for Shenanigoats?

I hear you, brah. Given I don't give two shits for Wilco, the only reason I clicked on this link was to engage in some sweet, sweet Revolting Cocks chat.

Wire should be on this list
Clearly, I don't have the time or inclination to go through every post, but Wire is the one band that deserve to be in the canon.

Big Stick were fantastic. Crack Attack (the original and not the terrible acid housey remix) is one of the very best tunes of the 1980s. If you can find it, pick up their album Crack and Drag.

I've been scanning the comments waiting for this one.

Doesn't bode well
If it's anything like the Tor y Moi album, it'll be total shite.

Barton Fink is not only the Coens' best, it's one of the best films of the past 20 years.

I have never heard any of this
Apart from Katy Perry.

Kafka is indeed an amazing film. It's like the love child of Brazil and The Wizard of Oz (the movie, not the actual wizard). With lots of unlikely British character actors like Brian Glover and one of Robson and Jerome.
