It really is.
My dad used to play it quite a lot, so I'm in your children's boat.
He gave me quite the 70s/80s education.
A lot of Blondie/Eurythmics/Prince/Bowie/Smiths/Kate Bush.

Oh yeah, we definitely couldn't have missed Daniel's hair.
And yeah, it does look worse without a model to make up for its atrocities.

It's shocking how well Purple Rain holds up.
Such a good album.

Maybe not catchy, but Yes, Anastasia is pretty much a masterpiece.

It's like someone else said, though - Ray of Light was more a reflection of William Orbit than it was Madonna.
But yeah, it's pretty great.
She's perfect for that kind of icy-synth/trip-hop/borderline dance kind of thing.

Just seen this article.
Is this why they had the Duck tape challenge?
And why is Daniel and Richard's tacky gold hooker dress actually featured in the store?
I get why Stanley and Layana's is, but not the gold ruffle nightmare.

I can't even see the title of that song without thinking of her crazy pronunciation.
"Nug-baeeee ta yeee-aaa-oooo."
Whiny, nasal whore.
Apparently I feel very strongly about this.

Oh, no shit to catch there (I shouldn't have tried to change the phrasing of that; it's disgusting now).
It's a fantastic album.

Goooood album.
I can barely put up with most of her other stuff, but Ray of Light is phenomenal.

I know it makes me the least original person on the planet, but Little Earthquakes is pretty much my go-to album whenever I need something to listen to, along with tons of other gays and gals, I'm sure.

I've always thought that, too.
I had to do a double check to make sure I had it right.
'Madeline and Louise' sound a good duo, but the names never fit them at all.

I don't know, I think Lorelai's clothes get a lot better pretty quickly - definitely by season 2 at latest.
As for Rory, I just don't think she was interested in clothes when she was 16. I can't picture her in anything but the Chilton uniform or an oversized sweater.

Do they really not seem different to you?
Louise - Blonde = Clever, but lazy and kind of a whore
Madeline - Black-haired = Not clever, generally sweet and a sheep.

Completely, completely agree.
I grew up listening to so much stuff I wouldn't have otherwise, thanks to my parents' pretty amazing music taste, that I still love now.

Yeah, but they started her off in season one with a love of sequins and rhinestones and horrible tacky stuff mixed in with the decent stuff and then they just started to lose the nasty, which I was okay with.

So that sweatshirt that used to be Rachel's - before she presumably discarded it because someone tie-dyed it with faeces - would that have been anywhere near passable as a piece of clothing in the late 90s? I get that it was meant to be 'off-beat' and 'quirky' but ugh.

Just watched Sassy Pants and thank you for the recommendation! It was really decent.
Could I have done without a constantly shirtless Haley Joel Osment in Daisy Dukes? Yes.
But otherwise, rather good.

She's actually really, really good in it.
I was a bit sceptical about how well she'd do, which is part of the reason I watched it.
And no, I've not seen it, but just read a synopsis and it looks worth a watch.

Yeah, it made too much of the triangle last season - actually, it pretty much was the season, so hopefully we get more of the others this season.
Sidenote: I've just finished watching Fly Away where Rickards plays a girl with autism. A bit TV movie-ish, but worth watching if just for her and Beth Broderick, who's

It reminded me of that bit in the tunnel in Perks of Being a Wallflower.
I was waiting for 'Heroes' to start up.
