I think it's also the way it's building it's world that seems very Clone Highish, with lots of weird little side characters who keep popping up for a joke or two before disappearing, like the "Git him!" guy or Old Man McGucket.
This seems to happen a lot in the comments here, both with this show and Adventure Time. They sometimes sneak risque jokes, sure, but people really like the idea of every throwaway line secretly meaning something filthy so that gets projected onto a lot of otherwise innocuous lines.
