I agree with two caveats: 1. David Allen Grier and Carolla make an intoxicating elixer. 2. Many of the live shows have that spark of novel riffing that comes from the live setting and interesting guests.

I would like to add that Traci Lords gives a great performance as an annoying, hateful, and yet weirdly touching and vulnerable person, even amid a script rife with cliches (and what's with this churchy lady using the word "fucking"?).
