They don't want you! They don't wanna SEE you! You're THROUGH!

And Marion Paroo is all kinds of undercover sexy.

It gets funnier over the years. The last time I saw it I about fell over when Cathy popped out of the cake, and Lockwood jibes "Now that I know where you live, I'll be sure to drop by!"

Made the mistake of trying to watch The Philadelphia Story and High Society on a double bill. It was genuinely painful. I'd seen The Philadelphia Story but not the other, my friend had seen neither. We ended up fast forwarding to a couple of musical numbers and finally gave up during "Did You Evah?", which is a fun

"How revolting." is my current favorite.

Oh, ok
I think I'll probably see this.

Waddya mean "if"?

"You shouldn't be hearing this."

Actually, Arthur isn't all THAT widescreen - it's not like you're missing half the frame or anything. The writing and performances are intact.
But, since it's one of my favorite movies, I do want it to get all the respect it deserves.
On the other hand, go screw yourself.

I did. I stopped it and changed it.
I was just amazed that some of my favorite laughs from the movie weren't on the regular, "short" version. Without them it just wasn't funny - WITH them it was subtly funny, but without them just kind of weird and not funny.
That's all.

The Music Man hands-down is my favorite movie musical.

"Ain't nobody was ever kilt by a little dizziness."
I went to show that movie to a friend who I thought would like it, and chose the short original theatrical version.
THAT LINE WAS CUT! It just showed Mr and Mrs Cox sitting down in the theatre and her wobbling a little, and that was it! It wasn't funny!
They'd also

Also, I love her so much I apparently made up half of what I just typed. Here's what I half-remembered:

I do believe it really is her name. She was born into a large Texas ranching family, I think the only girl among several boys. The down-to-earth, cool personality she's always exuded in interviews seems at odds with her often aloof screen persona - quite a combo.
I love her, and I don't care if it shows.

It was Cyd Charisse's favorite role. GO for it!

I didn't need to read this last post, right?

Silk Stockings
"Silk Stockings" has some really beautiful, even transcendent dance numbers, and Cyd Charisse is at times almost frighteningly beautiful. The number listed above is kind of funny, but really annoying.

Sometimes the found footage looks interesting, but knowing I'll have to sit through the repulsive "Sweating, Vomiting Garbage" intro keeps me from investigating it.

That. Would be awesome. I bet it's been done though.

And wasn't there a throwaway gag Sunday about Lauren being a champion in Greco-Roman wrestling? Santana…no.
