On ice!
On ice!
I'm irritated that when I click on the link, I get the gals and not the feller.
I think the Disney name/logo doesn't carry the same connotations it used to, for better or worse. "Touchstone" and "Hollywood" were only used because of those old connotations.
In other words, look for Disney's "The Avengers". On ice!
Funny things happen when you get older. Maybe someday I'll even like - nah, I truly doubt it.
I can't imagine why I'd see Avatar…if nothing else, it's too long to see if you're apathetic about seeing it.
I've never seen Jackass…when it first came out I knew this guy who told me all about it and about how great it was and it sounded about as unenjoyable as his company turned out to be…
But I think I'm ready! This looks pretty funny, especially the rollerskating in a buffalo herd bit. I'd like to see that, methinks.
Actually Betty White has always done things that ladylike ladies aren't supposed to do. She's always been known for sweetly smiling while saying pointedly risque/bitchy things, which is why she was cast in Mary Tyler Moore.
What I'm saying is, anything "inappropriate" she's doing now is pretty much what she's…
Actually I thought him saying "I don't know if you've ever been in the service" wasn't badass at all, but very gracious - he really didn't know. I thought it was classy.
There's no dog.
"I guess his whole perspective—this kind of above-it-all, upper-class misfit—is just wearying to me now. "
Bewildered amusement
"cadence of his bewilderment and amusement "
Is it, Right Wingnut? I love that Krypton music. Our local symphony is performing Pines of Rome this season - might have to try to check it out. I only know it from Fantasia 2000, when it was paired with some of the schlockiest animation ever. THE WHALES ARE FLYING! Because that's what whales really want, see.
Just…
The most awesome cat I ever had would make a noise kind of like that when you picked him up and squeezed him. He'd do it at varying volumes until you put him down, then he'd twine around your legs and purr until you picked him up so he could do it again. He could do this for hours. Honestly, Sam was the best cat I…
"I've never witnessed anyone who's endured his treatment actually do anything to deserve it. "
Why just a pinch? A REAL cook isn't afraid of his ingredients!
To be fair, every gross kitchen is pretty much the same. There's a template to "gross kitchen" which isn't really negotiable.
Worktime chatter
My boss related this story to me in hushed tones, which sounded vaguely accusatory of Gordon Ramsay (or something - tv in general?)
And his fiance was the freaking head cheerleader, in said small high school, not just some anonymous student. And she was his sister's main bully - his sister with whom it was established that he was very close.
Just saw this
I wanted to see this just for the cast. I wasn't expecting much, and it didn't disappoint - not bad enough to be a total embarrassment, but jeez it was just soooo stupid - just a terrible screenplay. So many things that you just couldn't help but think "Jeez, that just doesn't make sense at all!!" Oh…
Yes, Madonna was fine in Dick Tracy, no complaints from me at all.
