Dude, I genuinely hated him in Bram Stoker's Dracula. When an actor is so totally wrong for a part, sometimes it makes people angry. But he's ok in general, and certainly doesn't seem like any kind of a bad person or anything.

Yeah. You know that at some point ANYONE can be said to be "considered" for a role like that, but it doesn't mean it's ever going to happen. I know in the nineties Jude Law and - oh, and someone else - were mentioned, but it was probably more in passing.

Yeah it wasn't very satisfying.

@ Dumbledore

Weirdest possible Bond, for me, is Michael Gambon. I have read he tested for it long ago. Of course they were probably looking at anyone at all, and the likelihood of it actually happening was probably on an a par with that of Lee Remick actually replacing Marilyn Monroe in "Something's Got To Give".

Pierce Brosnan was almost James Bond, but CBS screwed him out of it. Then he was almost Bond again repeatedly in the nineties.

Know what would have been hot? Helen Mirren in "Basic Instinct".

That's what happens when you spend most of your life barely moving your face (and probably taking care of your skin too).

I'll also always cherish
"Mm-mm, himmm…Now. What song was that?"

"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf"
And other random thoughts:

More Sigourney Weaver in any comedy would be ok with me. She seems to have a great sense of humor. With her fierce demeanor and deep voice it's easy to overlook that.

I read it! It's very good - a little more about the author than I like, but just a little - really a very thorough and knowledgeable book.

Maybe we're both right. I still think they're talkin' big to each other, but one interpretation is just as close as the other. Either way, they're pissed LOL.

Maybe I'm wrong, but in "Jackson" it's pretty clear that (I think) he's not going to do all the things he's saying he will, that he's just blowing off steam, and his partner knows it because she knows him too well. Remember she tells him "Go on, and wreck your health".

Well yeah but…there's that "I should be happy, But all I do is cry" part in there, which does kind of negate the half-hearted attempt at self-consolation. Which is I think the point of the song.

Thank God and Greyhound
I started reading this list hoping, hoping that this gem would be on it, and by golly there it was. Listening to it again reminds me of how great it is, primarily because Roy Clark sings the first part so straight. When the chorus starts, it's plain that he's WON his glee! Woo-hoo, and

"Your pet rabbit died
Poor little muffet
Your two choices are
Eat it, or stuff it."

Jesus, Dracula 2000 was awful…thanks ever so for reminding me of that heap of junk…

And "The Lady Eve"
has one of my favorite lines ever: "Let us be crooked, but never common". Brilliant.

Jeez, I didn't make the connection that it was also at a birthday party - the step-brother's, if I remember right
