The Postal Service
Granted, their second album is just indefinitely delayed rather than canceled outright, but leaving us that sliver of hope just makes it worse. Come on guys, the world needs more dissonant bloops and bleeps spun into pop gold.

It certainly is a strong position, but I'm not sure the episode completely makes it's case. 95% of it is about Marge's struggle and eventual success in making Springfield a better place to raise children by reforming Itchy & Scratchy. But does she really need to back down when others in her movement start protesting

Ahem
Earth is actually 4.6 BILLION years old.

His late period looks pretty respectable compared to Robert "Fockers" De Niro. Steve Martin gave up gruelingly brilliant stand-up for the easy paychecks of awful family comedies, and Robin Williams fell into the same trap. And how could we get this far without mentioning Marlon Brando? His crazy behavior on and off

The series is shockingly dark, but what really impressed me was how well Collins depicted the long-term effects of emotional trauma. I particularly liked the way she showed that alcoholism and drug abuse can be a dangerous-but-effective coping mechanism. Understanding that will hopefully give kids some understanding

Well at least SCA gets good press from The Onion. How's the occupation of Russia holding up?

I never gave kids pet dragons, but I did once run a tough adventure that accidently ended up killing the party; I had the kids roll up new characters, and we started a new campaign. Maybe it ended up a tough-love learning experience, or maybe they're all still as pissed off as you…

@andrei: They had several campuses in the Greater Boston Area, and one might have been in Lexington. Kids had to sign up for at least four different "classes," so if you just played D&D all day then it must have been someplace else.

It was a Massachusetts day camp for tweens called "College Academy." Most of the other counselors were real teachers during the year, and that meant the pay was amazing for a teenager. It was probably the best job I'll ever have.

Critical Firstie Failure

I once had a job teaching D&D at a summer camp for geeky kids
Ever since then, I've been able to call myself a "professional dungeon master."

Edward and Bella
Their "stupid lamb/masochistic lion" thing won't work once she's vamped.

I got Stephenie Meyer for my fanfic. It's weirdly satisfying that the site connected two of my guiltiest pleasures.

Memory fail.

The Splice discussion was pretty dull
It was just an audio summary and review of the film that's less concise and effective than the one you already wrote out. What's the point in doing that? If spoiler worries kept you from having a more in-depth discussion, then maybe you should have lifted that restriction.

Holy Fucking Shit!
I just got back from the midnight showing, and I have never been as shocked and surprised by a movie as this one. If you somehow made it through the comments this far without being spoiled, STOP READING AND SEE THIS MOVIE NOW!

Was I the only one whose first thought was Conan the Barbarian?
If I am, I'll just move along.

72. Aside from a few head-scratchers (Mononoke over Spirited Away?) and personal favorites (Hedwig) this is a pretty good list.
