Well, they do make a cute cosplay couple:

Apparently, Miyazaki gave Anno his first big break to work as an animator on Nausicaä. He helped do some of the apocalyptic scenes at the end of the movie. There's been some talk of a sequel with Anno directing.
Fun Fact: Hideaki Anno is the director of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Horikoshi is the first major role he's played.
Does it still count as "lingere" if nobody would ever want to sleep in it? And is it really clothing at all if you have to tape it to your body? And how do you get all your bits covered back up after you go pee? And is it worth all that just to wish Cory Feldman a happy birthday?
Am I the only one who thought of the Clarke Peters monologue from Brief Interviews with Hideous Men when they saw the trailer to this? It seemed like a more nuanced take on having a Black father who made a living serving White men.
Next you're gonna tell me that Leonard Nimoy plays guitar.
Silence of the Lambs… there are times when I think it's too ridiculous to be transphobic. But it is when you consider how rare it is to see movies where transgender or gender-variant people are presented as human beings -particularly in 1991. I'm sorry to feel this way because I really liked this movie when I was a…
You're right. Thanks for the update.
My dad was thrilled when he got the complete boxed set of this… despite having access to all of the episodes on Netflix (which he knows how to use).
Here's one reasonable discussion: why does everyone turn into a self-righteous scold when a pop star performs for a tyrant, but we don't bother sorting out all of the other people, corporations, and nations with economic ties to repressive regimes? Is J-Lo any better or worse than the people who sell this guy fancy…
If you ever want to play the anagram game (or just sound smart), here's a page with some good ones:
"Isn't it digusting how Dan Savage puts people into the little boxes he's comfortable with?"
I'd go with the (human) family from My Neighbor Totoro. Aside from Mom being sick, you'd have just about the best childhood imaginable.
Okay, but only if the Vulcan wears his rubbers
I have Star Trek on the brain so…
But does Khan speak Klingon and know how to pilot their ships? In a ship small enough for one man to pilot, could he outrun or evade the others that would chase it? How would the payoff be worth all the prep time and all those risks?
Yeah, Khan basically has no good options once he's on the Klingon homeworld. It's only an incredibly unlikely turn of events (like Scotty disabling the dreadnaught) that let him get back into a good position. In other recent movies where the villains let themselves be captured (Dark Knight, Avengers), they actually…
Let's imagine you're Khan at the beginning of this movie. You're a superhuman would-be galactic conqueror, and you'd really like to defrost your super-friends to help you do so. Your first move isn't that bad: you blow up the place where the federation made you work on some super-secret tech. But then you get in a…
Has anyone found the full video of the memorial online?
