If he would ever do a project so dark, then yeah, maybe Edgar Wright, but I have a hard time imagining him using his skills on a non-comedy.
Well, the source material is pretty timeless— teen angst, bullying and crazy religious elders, you can't get much more timeless than that. If they couldn't make it compelling, I've gotta put that on the filmmakers.
