Absurd. SHOWGIRLS and TMNT are good movies. DEEP BLUE SEA is Renny Harlin's BEST movie, just above THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT. And PECKER is Waters' best movie, if not a particularly influential one. ARMAGEDDON isn't "good", but it's a masterpiece of whatever-the-hell it is. I agree with you on 54.

RESERVOIR DOGS is pretty much impossible to sit through now. It's just been imitated too often. So has PULP, but at least that's operating on a less academic level, and doesn't resort to anything as attention-baiting as trying to make an ear-slicing into a "cute" scene.

Yup. And it's better than Halloween 4. It tried to combine Halloween with Blair Witch too much, and doesn't really work, but series fans were mainly just upset that Michael Myers was punched out by a rapper.

I'll never understand the respect afforded to HALLOWEEN 4. Clearly, HALLOWEEN II is a better movie, if for no other reason that it at least looks good. The candy apple scene, and the Ben Tramer death scene are above anything in the other sequels, and display the dark humor and cruelty unique to this film.

I'm not sure that they don't care. They just want to play religious music now, which isn't what most punk fans want to hear, and punk songs where the chorus is just the title repeated. As innovative black rock goes, Fishbone is more exciting, but never got Bad Brains' indie cred.
