Yeah I found the tweets repulsive. Cue the apologists.

His tweets were disgraceful, really poor form, let's not mitigate them because he's a cool celebrity.

don't hold yer breath …

honestly, I wouldn't be able to name any of the films you're referring to.

I don't even find it slightly funny.
That stuff with the 'choo choo' guy, Cedric the Entertainer's character; just waaaay too broad for my tastes ..
I actually don't particularly enjoy Clooney paired with the Coens in general, either; he's ok in O Brother, but diminishing returns thereafter - so, while I will no doubt

when it starts I always have to wait before finding out whether it's 'Modern Love' or 'Footloose' by Kenny Loggins.
that said, I do love Modern Love (and Footloose is fucking shite).

sad that Stahl went so far off the rails, as I really enjoyed his presence in everything I'd seen him in to that point …

yeah this was the only time I've ever signed any kind of petition for anything; I was really disappointed when the show got cancelled.

agree with this - the pacing was horrible for IC, the characters and even the writing, too - but the pacing stood out to me as being allll wrong - I'd taken a snobby film-student friend along to see it, too; surprisingly for his 'type' he wasn't too familiar with the Coens - even more surprisingly, he loved IC even

Intolerable Cruelty remains one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had in a movie theatre, but only because my expectations for any Coen's film are sky-high, and I'd never been previously disappointed (nor have I since)…

I get more of a Barton Fink feeling from the trailer ..

that Buford, he a sly one …

and then later on, "Don't forget his fine-gers Ed!"

well there isn't a literal connection …

Visually? I s'pose.
But that's pretty much as far as it goes …
I was pretty underwhelmed by the Proposition though.
As an aside; David Wenham is always a welcome addition to any cast, would love to see him getting more exposure and just better roles.

Overall I thought it was a pretty wildly uneven first season; even within a lot of the individual episodes there was a lot of issues, from scripting to pacing to the aesthetics - I love the original trilogy as much as anyone, but, despite enjoying the series, I still have reservations.
The 3 individual films are so

absolutely agree with this, and I wouldn't call it 'super nit-picky' at all.

I think this whole non-issue (for the record I think AV's headline speaks more to the awfulness of the vast majority of Christian music more than it does to their views on Christianity; being an American site I would be very surprised if there weren't some Christians on staff) has had more than enough air.
I absolutely

I assume that you're making assumptions that I'm one of those making assumptions in regards to Christians and their level of offense over an AV Club headline? - Because the level of your offense is irrelevant to me, as is the fact that you seem to be bothered by any lack of enlightenment on my part.

is she Ken Wahl's girlfriend in the film, the one he impregnates?
I found her extremely alluring, no lie.
