disagree.

did they dress you in jammies with Yodas n' shit?

I'm fairly sure XTC's Andy Partridge actually composed songs for the James and the Giant Peach movie, but they were never used.
Think they're on youtube ..

Moby Dick = Tom Waits; that guy can write a sea shanty when he wants to!

Blood Meridian could only be Nick Cave, surely - he'd nail that shit like a baby to a tree.

guitar playing is atrocious. really bad, and out of tune too.
vocals don't bother me though.

I hope book 4 kills it and Korra goes out on a high, I've thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 books.
I'll miss the animated Avatar world and believe that with the right support it could have been the kind of show that successfully re-invented itself from series to series.

This is very true, and it may very well have saved a boy getting punched in the face from my 3yo Toph-wannabe daughter this very evening.

yeah that was pretty damning from lil' Ms. Waxbut ..

definitely hear a lot of T.Rex in this song - I don't know enough Big Star to really compare though - but yeah, the outro always evokes T.Rex for me ..

to me there sounds like an odd edit - definitely something a little weird during the outro, whether it's deliberate or not ..

Personally I like the Fannies a lot, but I think all of their albums have weak spots.
The 2nd half of Bandwagonesque creaks a bit, Sidewinder in particular is a shocker.
As with any band that has multiple songwriters, I find the contrasting styles within the band to be interesting.

I'm not gonna bother flashing my Nirvana credentials; I liked them fine, they have some incendiary stuff.
But the Hater has it right imo (despite misunderstanding the nature of the lyrics); it's as uninspired as anything I ever heard Nirvana do, it's Nirvana-by-numbers.

Zaheer on tippy-toes kissing P'Li was a pretty touching moment ..

both @disqus_yUtL2hddsW:disqus and @sambra:disqus make really cool observations here, good stuff folks; I did notice she didn't say a word, and the primal, nonverbal grunts worked really well to up the tension - better than any cheesy heroic one-liners

Yes.

I totally agree, Korra's grown on me as a character; but then I was fond of her from the start.
I think she's as realistic a portrayal as you can depict of a naive, superhuman, teenaged girl with a good heart .
Korra's psychology has been subtly prodded and explored in a number of ways in the 3 seasons so far, she

yes, but his speculation that perhaps he and Amy were once two Ibex who briefly touched antlers was oddly touching ..

I've been right with Bryan and Mike every step of the way, I think tLoK
has dared to take the Avatar world in a new direction, and while there's
been missteps, overall I've ultimately loved the series every bit as
much as I did A:tLA.

Korra's foot-flame boosters were surely a nod to Astro Boy.
