I finally watched "Moanin' Lisa" the other day, and holy shit that didn't seem like a cartoon. The long moments of silence, the subject matter, the resolution. It's not like Simpsons has been since, and it's certainly not anything like TV in general.

Is this really significant? Of course they're going to bow to noisy identity politic groups and the next trendy "liberation struggle"…

DENTAL PLAN

One of my favorite scenes is the "Man's best friend, indeed!" one.

I refuse to watch that movie until Michael Cera apologizes for trying to have a career in the intervening years.

I'm glad there's some check on Dan Harmon's inevitable slides into maudlin.

I can't believe you guys gave the movie a C- but the novelization of the screenplay an A-. WHERE'S THE CONSISTENCY? I hope someone got fired for that blunder.

The thing that always pissed me off about Cars (I refused to even watch Cars 2) was that it seemed to be a break from the traditional setup of Pixar movies. No matter what the movie was about (toys that come to life, professional monsters, an ant colony) that universe was set up in conjunction to our own,

@leave_the_silver_city:disqus Did anyone else find the whole abortion thing to be a little too on-the-nose as the pro-choice message in the movie? "Ladies, perform your own abortions and then get right back to fighting!" THIS IS WHAT THEY WARNED US ABOUT
