Sorry, but I love the explanation of the Observers- it couldn't be better thematically. Further cements my opinion of how great the show is. And there is still plenty of mystery about their evolution and motivations, just see this thread.

The sleeve-size gun would be plenty powerful, especially since it's obviously meant to be used at close range. So long as it's a real gun and not a water gun.
And a couple of crossovers with Supernatural (Jim Beaver and Richard Speight). Definitely an "it" show. Also a show that runs through a lot of notable yet short-lived characters in just a few seasons!
Yes these are intelligent monsters working within the system somehow, and I really like that… makes the end-game riddle more complicated for us to guess at and less black and white in general. Really hard to see how S&D can bring the Leviathan down, but surely something in their vast experience that will give them an…
The little girl's apologies really were hilarious, as was Dean's manifestation of being touched by that particular curse. I'm also glad Sam is talking about his problem; it may be a sign of maturity but I'm afraid it's supposed to be a sign that he's barely hanging onto his sanity, even though it was underplayed… I…
Yeah, I'm still unquestionably a fan, but this episode was a clear reminder of how the show really could be so much better. Phil also noted how many ingredients in this ep were solid, yet the whole fell flat. I think it's also a little more disappointing after a couple weeks off, looking forward to a new episode and…
Solution: with so many apparent call-backs to season 1 Fringe, I will re-watch season 1, which I only caught periodically in real time. Suffering over. Is this what the writers wanted me to do right now? hmmmm
Yeah, it does help to keep in mind that the storyline is a week off-schedule. I actually like baseball, and Fringe, but not basketball, so this tv break in boring March is really going to drag on… ah well.
Yes more Fringe please! Every weekend without it is a sad one (like this weekend. I made do.) Is this extended break because of March Madness? If so, can we complain about basketball instead of baseball now?
I agree that she's too good for Tom, but it's not totally far-fetched… Ann is beautiful and kind but she's also a pushover and lonely enough to try something she wouldn't usually consider. So she was desperate enough to try Tom and is still hanging out with him because he persists and entertains her. But it may or…
