That was really, really funny. His take on Silver Linings Playbook in particular made me laugh aloud:

She basically turns me into Kefka. Whenever I see her I start laughing insanely and screaming "I hate hate hate hate hate HATE HATE HATE HATE…"
I just tend to immediately direct anything fart-related @avclub-33beffd09a1b020d1187c6b4b264014a:disqus 's way, regardless of the broader context.
@avclub-776e9111d31a090979dd9fc5f382651c:disqus You're probably right. Also, it may be that Sophocles and Sigmund Freud were not, in fact, appropriate bedtime story material.
Yep. He also knows the correct use of 2nd-person possessive pronouns. (I kid, I kid.)
@Scrawler2:disqus It's really one of the creepiest things a kid can possibly say. If he was like, "Daddy, I'm gonna kill you!" I'd just make a game or joke out of it. This phrasing, it's like, "I've considered it, but you know what, I've decided against it. For now."
It wasn't me, but I agree 100%. Kids are hilarious. The other day, he said to me, out of nowhere and a propos of nothing, "Daddy, I'm not going to kill you."
That's just how he pronounces "aquatic". He picked up the term "semi-aquatic" from Phineas and Ferb.
I have a little fart-related anecdote to share with you, KCLMB. I showed my 3-year-old son the Ren and Stimpy episode about Stimpy's sentient fart, Stinky. He thought it was the most hilarious and scandalous thing ever, and is now obsessed with "Stinky the Fart", but he never mentions the character except in hushed…
[Human pyramid collapses onto Courtney. Marching band starts playing "Louie Louie". Sirens become audible in distance.]
I have a mind to join his fan club and then beat him over the head with it. #groucho
My first kiss was at - wait for it - 19 years old. And it was in public, on the dancefloor of a club, full-on tongue and everything, with my brother and his girlfriend and various other acquaintances watching.
@avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus "Lady Madonna", "Hey Jude", "Let It Be", "Martha My Dear", and "Hey Bulldog" are the ones I find it most fun to play. I also fooled around a lot with "A Day in the Life" and had it sounding okay for a little while, but I lost track of the sheet music and have since…
Did the doctor mention gigantism? Because that would have gone great with your avatar.
Nice. I play a bit of piano too, and love playing the first part of "Linus and Lucy", but I can't get the rest to sound right. I do a pretty good "Maple Leaf Rag", though (good enough to impress non-players at least). I can also hammer out a few Beatles numbers.
That Cedric Burnside/Jon Spencer story is awesome. Lucky you.
Yeah, I get that too. I have had to actually start trying to vocally announce myself before entering a room to avoid scaring the bejeezus out of my wife or anyone else who happens to be around.
You look good, man. I can't understand why you were talking yourself down last week.
Mostly smaller outdoor folk festivals, with a couple of stops at mid-sized taverns. It was mostly weekend gigs, not a continuous tour.
I hope to one day meet you on one of your bad days…
