Never got the fixation with this guy. His scripts are broad and he doesn't show the depth of empathy for his characters that he thinks he does. I feel like he's still around because he's sort of like a token weirdo, not too offensive, appealing to GenX.

the Hamilton book was just a pile. "i failed, but here it is anyway." i wouldn't have read the new one based on the shitty reviews of the movie, but someone gave it to me, and man am i glad they did. worth the effort for the part about his military career and experience with his first wife alone.
