Nice write-up!  I think that "King's Lead Hat" was more inspired by Talking Heads than Devo, though.  (The song title is an anagram of their name).

I thought this Primer was great overall.  The only quibble I have with it is the description of Ghosts of Mars.  Pam Grier was barely in the film.  Well, I never got the sense that the film was any kind of vehicle for her, at any rate.
