If I'd thought about it, I might've gone w/ "The Village Green Preservation Society" and "Do You Remember Walter?"

Oh, man, I hated that so much. It was in a preview clip I watched on the ABC media site, and I was, like, "Please don't let this be the overall tone of the episode, because it will make me so very sad."

I don't disagree with that. They were both pleasant enough, but they couldn't touch Axl's.

I don't think he'd do it unless he had the blessing of the real guys, who probably aren't terribly enthused about the film being made. Then again, maybe they are. It's not like they haven't hung with Hollywood types before: http://hereandnow.wbur.org/…

Time to start a petition to get Alex Rocco into this picture. I mean, for God's sake, the man was actually affiliatedwith the Winter Hill Gang (if not necessarily Bulger himself):

I watched the first episode before I left for the TCA tour, but I haven't had a chance to watch any more of it. I will, though.

Ha! I didn't ask him specifically, but when I shrugged off losing the Mark Hamill scoop, too, by saying, "I'll let TV Guide have that one," he laughed and said, "Ah, they don't even know what he's doing on the show." Apparently, I'm still the first one that Fogelman himself actually talked to after the news broke. I

Fogelman would have you believe that Halloween is when they started their stride. As I said below, though, I'm more partial to the Christmas episode as a new starting point.

I wonder if it might not have been a leftover from earlier in the season or something, since not every Wednesday show was new this week. (The Middle wasn't, I know that much.) Either way, Fogelman seems really enthused about the rest of the season. Not mentioned here but reported elsewhere, he got Alan Mencken to

For the life of me, I've never understood why they never brought back Isabella Rossellini…and she never did, either.

As was his right as an icon of the British theater.

Believe me, I would've loved to have done a Random Roles with him, but I only had 10 minutes, so it wouldn't have been satisfying for anyone if I'd gone that route. But I still wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

You''re right, it seems. I honestly didn't recall which play the line was from, but it was definitely quoted by Irons at some point in the midst of his narration of Shakespeare Uncovered, so maybe that's why he didn't correct me and simply said, "Yep, yep, yep."

Given my upbringing, I'm almost positive that my first introduction to the music of the Andrews Sisters would've been this song:  http://www.youtube.com/watc…

A 40-year reunion special is in the works entitled Help! The Hair Bear Bunch Has Fallen and Can't Get Up! (That's a freebie, Boomerang. You're welcome.)

Look, I'm tired of transcribing. I'd much rather put myself in a position to pick up a monthly retainer from Ben & Jerry's to name pop-culture-themed ice cream flavors.

Wait, wait, I've got another one: Hazelnut Wassername.

Sweet Toofer.
C'mon, that deserves a "like."

He knew who Rob Corddry was. He just didn't know Rob Corrdry was the husband of his dialect coach.
