I always felt like they were turning more towards Nick Cave , specifically on his "Murder Ballads" record than Johnny Cash. I remember hearing the opening line on Red in Tooth and Claw and just thinking "NICK CAVE". I still love all their records, some more than others, and I am looking forward to spending more time
