That was my thinking, that extras were cheaper in 1966 relative to the rest of the production.
The only reason the blood is pink in STVI is to avoid the big ugly R rating. All other times, Klingon blood is red.
Great, one more thing to hate about Season 5. And I thought the tone of S5 - that weary, desperate, maudlin, unfunny tone - actually worked for the first and only time in those first 2 episodes.
On that note, I always kind of read the suicide mission in Daybreak as an attempt at suicide by Cylon on Adama's part. Hence the whole scene with the tape on the deck at the end of Part 1. Galactica's going down and he wants to go down with her.
Yeah, no, it goes through the end of S4 at least. You would throw out Intersections in Real Time? I pity you, sir.
"This is not a show that ever got to flat-out F territory,"
Data = Screech
Like…Babylon 5? DUN DUN DUN
At least stop after Sometimes A Great Notion. That would be an epic, depressing series ender, with everyone going back out to find an Earth none of them believe in, doomed to wander the stars until Cylons or mutiny or suicide take them.
I think they expected more of an Animal House punishment. Like they do the Starburst, and the brass is all "ooh" except for Admiral Brand, and she's all like "NOVA SQUADROOOOOOOOOOOOON!" And then they go on double-secret probation.
It was formulaic! For the love of God, Doctor Who should be anything but formulaic! I'll take incoherent, I'll take lame, I'll take out and out shitty before I take formulaic from that show.
When I spoke for high school commencement, I based my 5 minutes of glory on a Barry Manilow song. I bet I hear about that when I go back for the 10-year reunion.
Danonymous: But Understand, the D Gets Extra Travelers every so often. Best to Underpopulate Decks to Gain Evacuation Triumphs.
Are you intentionally trying to be the board contrarian, or is it just happening that way?
Jesus: You have to pick a TNG-esque character. Odo's gruffness wouldn't fit. And let's not forget how much ass Terry Farrell sucked in the first season. (a lot)
You know who seriously is wicked hot, though, is Picard's female friend in Tapestry.
dear god, haysoos. Yes, it is much too late. Planet of the Dead was the worst thing ever made, regardless of how hot Michelle Ryan is. (very)
My college commencement speaker was some guy. I really remember nothing about him, or his speech. But then again I gave less than a fuck about commencement because I finished after fall semester.
