They should have just spliced in Dolph from Rocky IV whenever they needed a Dolph running scene.

Hardcore sex with all the naughty bits blurred out? Looks like Lars is taking a page from the Japanese porn industry!

I haven't read the comics, but there was that scene at the CDC where that guy mentions researchers in France working on a cure right to the end, so presumably it's a global issue.

Story checks out.

I might agree, but then I saw this:

Yeah, you win king of the internet for that. So don't fuck it up by being a dick like that murderous-but-tormented-soul of a robot ninja was.

He plays himself playing the Green Lantern.

I'm pretty sure that bit of insane plotting was from VIII, not IX.

You took the words right out of my mouth. The idea that we could complain at all about the localization of a game from those days… jesus, back then we were happy if we understood what was going on at all. I still consider FFT as one of the few games where playing the

I teach middle school kids, and the other day one of them told me he downloaded FFVII, and it was "surprisingly good." That's such a shift in paradigm for my generation, where we we've been saying the recent ones are "surprisingly bad." The fault for that is all on Square/Enix, but it doesn't make me any less sad for

I still like Indy 4. If you hate it, that's fine, but don't act like it's any less comically ridiculous than 2, or any less goofy than 3. Is it my least favorite of the group? Probably. But that's a far cry from bad. Feel free to flay me alive for that if you must, but I'm sticking with that obviously unpopular

Coming soon: The BRIGHTEST Hour: This Time They Go to the Sun, so it's VERY BRIGHT!

It's from a Patton Oswalt bit about Death Bed. So…yeah, you totally *should* Google "Rape Stove," because you'd probably get a clip of that bit, and *then* you'd be getting raped, yourself…

*gasp* Rubberman's origin story revealed!

You don't even have to go back that far: there are episodes from the early seasons of The Simpsons which were edited down a fair bit to allow for the increase in commercial programming in a half hour. Some very funny stuff has been axed to make way for more Axe Body Spray ads. *shudder* I'm going to hide under my bed

That's so true, and I never thought of it before that the song is wrong that way. I wonder if I could even change at this point: I've been hearing it as "ye gentlemen" for so long it actually sounds more natural.  Any idea when people started messing that up?

@elvellon03: In Jackson's defense he was very conscious that moving the Shelob bit was removing some of the drama from the second movie. As I recall, his reasoning was that by putting the Shelob scenes into RotK, he could give Sam and Frodo a bit more to do than just meander across the blasted plains of Mordor looking

From the Wikipedia: "Thomas Horn, who had won over $30,000 at age 12 on the 2010 Jeopardy! Kids Week, was chosen for the role in December 2010. Horn had had no prior acting interest but was approached by the producers based on his quiz-show appearance."

Keep digging!
