I beg to disagree here. Amy was not flat out "manipulating" Sheldon.
Using her knowledge and expertise, she proposed an experiment based in the relation between emotion and memory, and correlation between emotional attatchment and pleasant stimuli. Sheldon perfectly knew from the very beginning what she was intending
