Oh man, that would have been *so much better.*

A few years ago, someone on my Facebook friends list who belonged to the "Obnoxious" branch of Christianity posted one of those annoying chain statuses, which said something to the fact that angels are everywhere, and how you should copy this message into your status if you've seen the effect of angels in your life.

Wow, way too much stuff popped up in here while I was away to respond to everything, so I'll do some picking and choosing:

And the social commentary says… that 50s racism is bad? Does anyone actually disagree with that?

Okay @Prankster36:disqus , what would work better would be if you could explain *why* you think FBTS is the greatest episode ever or *why* it's so important to Star Trek's message or *how* you think that those events would strengthen Sisko's resolve.

@AlamtheaElanor:disqus Hey, it works! Thanks for the tip.

EliHawk (how are people doing these nifty username links?), that may be so, but I'd much prefer it that way than the way Season 6 did it.

halloween_jack: Loved the show from "Emissary" to "Sacrifice of Angels." Felt like it jumped the shark after that, although it gets better in Season 7. Still my favorite Trek series overall, despite the weaker stuff near the end, with seasons 5, 4, and 2 being quite possibly my favorite seasons of any Trek show.

EliHawk, I'd generally agree with that. The problem is that, with the exception of ITPM (I don't agree with FBTS), Season 6 uses up all its highs right at the beginning, getting your excitement all up, and then letting you down 19 times in a row (with one exception). That's unforgivable. And a lot of those 19 episodes

Season 7 definitely had its problems (Ezri was annoying, and I hated that "Sisko is Jesus" meme that suddenly came out of nowhere), but it was definitely an improvement over the latter 2/3 of Season 6. It actually seemed to be going somewhere, and it didn't use up all if its good episodes in the first six weeks.

SPOILERS AHOY (how do you make things boldface on this system?)

When my brother and I were watching the first run of this, when the characters were all talking about the scary Dominion reinforcements that were coming, we were just asking each other, why doesn't Sisko just go into the wormhole and ask the Prophets not to let them through? They demonstrated the ability to do that in

Unfortunately, the whole rest of this *season* isn't very good. :-/

You say that like it wouldn't be a huge improvement.

I didn't mind BSG's third season nearly as much as most people seem to. However, this might have been due to the fact that I'd been duly warned about it, and thus was anticipating a shark-jump on the level of DS9's sixth season. Expecting Baltar to develop red-glowing eyes and start babbling about demons who want to

Which episode was that? Drawing a blank at the moment.

I always wanted to see the Enterprise *actually* shake itself apart when Kirk would always insist on running everything at maximum despite Scotty's protests that "She canna take it, Captain!"

The back-half of this season was largely dull, uninteresting, and disappointing, and it consistently gets As and Bs.

Of course, if Jon Hamm had actually been in "To Serve Man", he would have ended up as a Hamm sandwich.

Like the author, I actually kind of liked "Jeremiah Crichton," even though it had obvious flaws. And since this generally seems to be regarded as the show's worst episode, that bodes well for the future indeed. I'm starting to get excited about this show!
