Mark Wahlberg's a star!  A big bright shining star!  You're not the boss of him!

I believe he's implying they never would've gotten into the cockpits to begin with, because he would've punched them in their boxcutter-weilding faces, regardless of their slashing of the stewardess' throats.

The Charlie Sheen roast was pretty fun, almost entirely due to the presence of Mike Tyson.  NObody was relaxing on that set.

naw, it's the Sopranos lead in, and he's…ah, nevermind.

Deadwood's fucking goddamn awesome, cunts!

Listen to the thunder.

I liked it, because it was so weird.  But at the end I thought, ok, I've given you lots of space for your weirdness, JFC, so you'd better start delivering something else.  From the description of its process, sounds like it wasn't going to.  So I remeber it fondly, and vaguely.

I, too, see what you did there, Rabin.

I just watched Star Trek TMP too, having last (and only) seen it in theaters when it came out.  It's really not bad, and not nearly as cheesy as Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, or Save The Whales.

Fuck that shit, use it to burn down your boss' house.

Snow Crash is terrific fun, especially knowing he wrote it 20 years ago.  I liked Diamond Age quite a lot, too, and then Cryptonomicon was awesome.  mmm, America Shaftoe.

I watched all teh football, and the surprisingly not terrible Hall Pass.  In fact, I'll upgrade that to 'surprisingly funny'.  I laughed several times out loud, and at one point had to rewind because I'd been laughing for five minutes at one spectacularly well-crafted (if certainly lowbrow) joke.

I saw Blue Valentine, remember feeling vaguely depressed, but have now completely forgotten everything about it, except that it was kind of depressing.  I mean, I thought I was enjoying it while I watched it, but I guess not.

@Juanito , right after the game someone had made a de-motivational poster with a picture of Tebow getting squished; the caption read "In Real Life, Evil Wins"

Absolutely…I'd bet that's in most every hardcore fan's top 5 if for nothing else than Stop The Planet Of The Apes, I Want To Get Off!

I pronounce you to be the most whimsical chap of the season!

holyyyyyyy shit.  wow.

thank you, Cpt. Giggles

Cookie, I don't know how you do what you do, but I admire it.

can someone please link that coldcall piece?
