We all knew months ago that AVATAR was going to be primarily a visual experience. So get over the fact that the story sucks, the dialogue is heavy handed, and the performances are hammy and just enjoy the goddamn roller coaster ride. Quit being pretentious fucking pricks. Jesus Christ, how can the same audience around

I too hope it's not the end of David Wallace. But I must ask: after all he's been through with Michael, why does he continue to share confidential business information with him?

I've been waiting for Michael to do something respectable/likable for the entire season.

I see what you did there.

Ancient Chinese secret, eh?

Ham is a recurring thing in the works of Studio Ghibli.

Season Three-(Falls just shy of S1 for me)
*Way too much attention is given to the Michael/Rita relationship
*The entire Rita subplot is… retarded.
*The Tobias constantly getting sicker subplot is terribly gross
*The prison episode is just bad
*The series is wrapped up rather quickly (attributed to the whole cancellation

AD
I recently re-watched all three seasons (yay being sick!) of AD in basically one long marathon session. I still love love love the show, but there are bits and pieces of it that I've begun to find out of place, unfunny, and kinda' embarrassing. At the same time, I saw new things in a handful of episodes that I had

Up in the Air is yet another movie that gives away the entire plot in the space of a 2 and a half minute trailer. I have no desire to see it because I feel like I already have.

I'm surprised to see some Matt Dillon vitriol here. I thought he was universally beloved. Ah well.

George Clooney
The guy has built a career around essentially playing himself in each movie. Am I the only one who is getting a bit tired of it?

It is a great movie. I've gone back to Capturing the Friedmans time and time again. I've discussed this movie with so many people, from ardent defenders of the Friedmans (some of whom who had even donated money to Jessie's legal defense fund) to those who think they are the sickest people to ever walk the planet. Agreed on "O Brother" as that film seemed to take the Coens into completely new territory. The cinematography, acting, and music are great in it.

So instead of calling everyone stupid, ignorant morons, why don't you actually tell us why the film is good.

Have to agree with you on Royal Tenenbaums. It's probably my least favorite of Wes Anderson's films. Though you have to admit it's almost universally beloved amongst critics.

I'm rather ok with the editing up until that last half hour. When Pinbacker shows up, the film really loses something for me. I guess that's what Boyle and Garland were going for, but it really didn't fit in with the rest of the film. Otherwise, Sunshine is absolutely amazing.

Departed is certainly overrated, but it's still a quality movie. Maybe not top 25 quality, but I'm a bit surprised it didn't crack at least the bottom half of the list.

Agreed. It needs to replace Kill Bill on the other list. I just don't understand the appeal of KB.

And the best video game movie not actually based on a video game, if that makes any sense. District 9 is awesome.

My "orphan/personal favorite"
My vote would go to 2007's Danny Boyle science fiction film "Sunshine." I love the visuals, character dynamics, music… only the last half hour of the film keeps it from being truly brilliant (though the closing scene always brings a tear to my eye).
