Kinda like the time my undergrad booked pop tart Ciara to give a concert. It ended up lasting 20 minutes, the fans flooded the stage in outrage, and the university ended up not paying her for breach of contract.

I guess I dont' see a problem with one team dominating another. It is a race after all, is it not?

I never got the appeal…
…of deadliest catch. Every episode seems to be the same thing. Someone explain the appeal of this to me.

Or the collected works of Leni Riefenstahl.

God please no…

OMG WTF WHERE IS FIREFLY!???!?

Dom Deluise, DUH.

Ken is basically Roger-lite anyway. More Roger, less Ken imo. And Kinsey sucks.

The Season Finale
First things first, this was a fantastic episode. I've graded it an A+ for the ton of crazy shit that went down. I know this season has been criticized for being slow, but it seemed tonight's plot-heavy finale has made up for the so-so earlier episodes of this season.

And again we see Campbell's gun… but it has not yet gone off. We must wait for the third act, apparently.

Cameron Diaz is really looking worse for the wear. What's her appeal, anyway?

I honestly…
…don't know what to make of tonight's episode. Shit got really uncomfortable in that restaurant. I almost turned it off. It just wasn't funny, like the awkward scenes in "Dinner Party" and "Chair Model" (Michael's reluctant reception of the coffee drink remains one of my favorite scenes of all time).

Tom, you know I love you. But that was nigh incomprehensible.

I'm edgy because my gf is a transgender? That's a new one on me. I'll be more careful picking girlfriends in the future as to not appear "edgy" on a pop culture website.

It's TMI to disclose that I'm not a straight dude? That I'm dating a transgender? THAT'S too much info? You're a douche. Either quit posting, or go back to 4chan.

Velvet Goldmine is fucking amazing. What a journey that movie was the first time I watched it.

Hedwig
I'm really glad you decided to cover this film, Scott. It's a deeply intimate portrait into a flawed character. I've only seen the film once, and refuse to ever watch it again. I was glad you touched on that previous AV Club article, because that's exactly how I feel about Hedwig. My entire life my sexuality

I went to a cheap state school. And I honestly never heard a single person utter "fag" as an insult during my entire time there. And I would be one to hear it uttered, being that I am a homosexual. I almost thought it completely disappeared as an insult. And then humanity's ugliest people, American teenagers, proved

There was a period of three or four years where I didn't even hear the word "fag" uttered a single time. Those years were called college, and they were great. My first year teaching, I probably heard my teenage students say "fag" a dozen times a day.

Because Jayson Werth got one and then everyone else in Philadelphia copied off him.
