The ending was one of my least favorite aspects of the film. It was, like Sirius' death in OotP, over a bit too quick. I also got the impression that the resulting emotions were more shock than sadness. I don't Yates can direct death well, I guess.
Yeah it's pretty funny how great special effects have gotten in just the last 8 years. The first movie has some laughable fx at that (the Quidditch match being a great example). It's also fun to go back and watch them to see how much the actors have grown up.
Yeah Warren, I like you too, and I was actually somewhat disappointed that you disagree with me on the Rock, but ah well. It's not like it's my favorite movie of all time or anything. I still like the movie a lot. It's cheesy, stupid fun in the way a lot of 90s actions movies are (and yes, I *love* Con Air, I think…
I actually …
… like Bad Boys and its sequel. As far as Bay goes, they're a notch below The Rock (a 90s action classic imo) but several notches above Transformers 2 and Armageddon (his absolute worst films). Pearl Harbor doesn't even register as a real film. It's a 3 hour salute to cocks and cannons.
I don't think you can read.
Would love to but she's visiting family in Singapore.

"It takes a significant amount of investment in the Harry Potter world to make Half-Blood Prince relevant, let alone sensible; the film makes no concession to newbies, and thankfully spends virtually no time reiterating points already covered in previous installments."
So the cast is basically…
…a who's-who of network television stars of the last 10 years?
I'd go…
…but that's the last night of my Counseling Children grad class! Sorry, AV Clubbers as I cannot (dis)grace you with my presence.
It's either Aug. 16 or Aug. 17…whichever is a Sunday. I'm too lazy to click the clock on my computer and check the date.
I think the directors or writers to Josie and the Pussycats also made Can't Hardly Wait, which I also think is an underrated movie.
I agree with Aqualad. I love the original and the sequel improves on it even more so, but Blade 3 is just atrocious.
I've always been a Ryan Reynolds fan. I'm willing to forgive his terrible movies, because much like Anna Faris, he usually transcends them. And Adventureland is fucking awesome. It's almost in "life-time pass" category for me because it really captures a period and hits close to home.
I think I might be the only person who sympathizes with Duck. He's kind of the anti-Don, and in this season I really started to dislike Don (much as I started to dislike Walter in Breaking Bad in S2). His affairs really pissed me off in S2, especially with Bobbie Barrett, who was an awful woman. The Duck-centric…
Exactly, not that I've ever been into hardcore drugs, because I have not. But I've been around some pretty intense "I just want to get the fuck out of here" moments. It's different from say the feeling you get on a rollercoaster or when you're nearly in a car accident. It's just hard for me to explain but PTA captures…
Some of us occasionally enjoy the company of the third sex. My current girlfriend is trans too. I'll link my profile with my FB account and you can see our picture.
I'm embarrassed…
…that I actually saw this in theaters over Million Dollar Baby, which my hot transgender gf at the time wanted to see. But I had to be a douche and watch Blade: Trinity instead.
Wow…
This scene is absolutely brilliant and one of my favorites in all of cinema for sure. It's doubly intense for anyone who has actually been witness to a drug deal, of which I have seen many thanks to a few unscrupulous brothers (who are now clean). I've never seen shit get that crazy obviously, but I have seen…
I love you, Beth Cooper…
…follows the likes of Sex Drive, Fired Up, and Miss March in a long line of misbegotten "teen" sex movies, despite Beth Cooper's PG-13 rating almost assuring no Hayden Panettiere boobies. I only wonder what Hollywood will try and get teens to masturbate to next.
