@La Pipe — He sure did.

In what way is Pam hatable?
Did anyone else find it a little out of character for the ultra-religious Angela to actually agree to have a child out of wedlock (even if it's Shrute spawn)?
Yeah, Rodgers has kept himself together vocally better than just about anybody who came up at that time. It's too bad his song writing is so fucking uninspired — he could have been one of the all-time greats.
The guy from Boston with the huge afro was the drummer, Sib Hashian. I looked him up on Wikipedia recently out of boredom, and he's still alive. Also, Boston was a terrible band.
I think the smoke monster's judging of Ben was a ruse to get Ben to blindly follow "Locke". Perhaps earlier the monster was primarily a mechanism for judgement and punishment, but I think that once it took the form of Locke, it was free in a sense to take action on its own initiative.
If you're upset about the seeming about-face changes to Sayid, please remember that he is a dead person who has come back to life. It's entirely possible that he's not the same man he was when he was busting out of the Dharma Initiative barracks a couple days ago.
Yeah, I'm with rawbun. The Mexico shit last week was ridiculous and a waste of time (as are the Hollis Green clan in general). The big problem with the show is that there's just too much going on. It's made the show borderline incoherent, with the dozens of major plotlines going every which way. It would be better…
Seconding the Noel Murray praise. The nice thing about his analysis/recap is that he doesn't go overboard with the theorizing, which on other sites tends to be wildly wrong and too clever by half.
I'm guessing they'll still have to have something in the way of flashbacks after the split realities resolve themselves. How else are they going to tell the story of Richard Alpert?
Unlike the alternate Ethan and Ben cameos, I got the impression that Dogen had some awareness of the 'alternativeness' of the situation. Sort of like with Desmond in 'LA X'. It reminds me a bit of Eloise Hawking's appearance as the apparently-omniscient course-correcting time monitor in 'Flashes Before the Eyes'.
The person will be coming by sailboat, a sailboat named the Elisabeth *fingers crossed*.
@I Will Be Damned — Yes, I have a hope that 108 will be Desmond who is motivated to find the island and guided thenceforth by Walt, who will be driven by some more of his lucid dream/visions.
Wallace is the name of the Economist. Might as well combine the two red herrings…..
I don't think the 815ers necessarily assumed that Claire was dead. In the Season 4 finale, Hurley told Jack that he wanted to make sure that they return to the island to look for her after they got the helicopter to the freighter. And I'm gonna assume that Claire was one of the people he hoped to locate in his…
And how is it that Selma's out of prison now? This episode can't be taking place any later than, oh, seven months after the end of last season, given Ana's state. Wasn't Selma convicted of something fairly horrific? Wouldn't it take longer than this to just have the trial? It's all too silly.
Yeah, it was interesting to rewatch Season 1 in the wake of the Season 5 finale. The episode with the Locke flashback where he's working in the toy store is striking. They spend an unusual amount of time having Locke explain the mechanics of the game Mouse Trap. The game is all an elaborate, Rube Goldberg…
@Hem - I think you're misremembering that. The kidnap list had nothing to do with Jacob and everything to do with Ben's mind games in trying to convince Jack to perform surgery on him. Every previous indication has suggested that none of the main characters are on Jacob's list. But that info comes from the Others,…
Yeah, the extras to the Season 5 DVD include an interview with Cuse and Lindlehof in the writers' room during the "breakdown" of the Season 5 finale. Apparently, according to the notes on their white board, they intended to show a final shot of Richard witnessing a massive explasion at the Swan site.
This raises an interesting question of how Ilana and her crew knew that Smokey would take the form of Locke. They certainly seemed prepared for his appearance on Hydra island beach.
