"Cancer"?
"Cancer"?
I thought stuff like that and the Jim-Dwight hug was a continuation of Jim and Pam's pleasure in being around their office-mates at the disco last week. Jim seems to be enjoying more the comraderie of even the irritating people he works with.
Can't he be both?
Thank God Andy's working her. The Nard-dog needs some good news next year!
You're wrong, Silly. They were stopping into the disco on their way to Youngstown. The fun they had with their co-workers made them reconsider the civil ceremony wedding.
Hmm. In the clip show that aired before the finale, Lindlehof said something to the effect that the time skips in the early part of the season seemed to place our heroes at pivotal moments in the island's history. So maybe you're right, that something was orchestrating the 'landing points' in their skipping around.
I think they're going to reveal some more Dharma things next season as well. They've said for a while that the strange Dharma food pallet drops will be explained at some point, for instance.
That's a good point. Did that notebook make it out of the catacombs? It didn't seem like Sayid needed it after that point. And he was bleeding to death…
Yeah, but what year was that? I didn't even think that scene was a flashback at first. The costuming and set dressing was a little…. subtle during that bit of drama.
How does all this play into Widmore's comments about a 'war' coming to the island? All indications in 2007 show a group of determined corpse-carriers with guns on one side, and John Locke/Esau and his Gollum on the other side. It doesn't seem especially war-like at the moment.
Their recent comments have indicated that that's not necessarily the case.
Fake Locke brought up the cabin scene to get Ben more riled up about the unfairness of his situation. It was really quite cruel, especially if he himself was the one invisibly fucking up the cabin that night.
It was that one dude from 'Iron Man'.
I agree. It was also a nice call-back to Locke falling down the Orchid well earlier in the season.
I've got to say Frank's reaction to seeing the box's contents was one of my favorite moments of the episode: "Terrific."
@MurphyC23 - It's not entirely true that there's nothing special about Locke, other than the time travel blips. He did, after all, come to the island as a cripple and could immediately walk again. If that miracle didn't come about by some trick of Jacob/Esau, then it does show that he is in communion with the island…
I'm going to guess that it was actually Blackie trapped in the cabin, not Jacob. And that he was using or tricking Christian (and maybe Claire) to bring about his loophole.
@craigward - Did you think that AD had some pretty … um.. retarded character names too? I mean, 'Gene Parmesan', 'Bob Loblaw', 'G.O.B'? I don't see much qualitative difference between them (although 'Littlejunk' may be a bit much).
Didn't Locke leave it at the Eko gravesite? The heavens shone on it giving him the bearing with which to find New Otherton. Right?
Yeah, but the fact that Libby appeared in a couple of cameos last season still gives me hope. She doesn't need a whole episode, just a couple of scenes to fill in the blanks!
