I loved it, but that awful song during the driving montage really took me out of it

I used to love the Soup but anytime I try to watch now, its awful. Is my timing just bad, or is it not funny anymore?

I'm not so sure I agree. I don't know that the show has to justify the idea that there are people out there who do the right thing, even when it's difficult. It's pretty much a given that there are non-criminals out there, decent people. Presumably, most viewers fit that

Really? I think it reinforces Chase's points. For all the shit we know Livia and Johnny Boy put Tony through, the show never lets him off the hook for his actions. We're shown people who make tough, moral decisions throughout the show - the cop who doesn't back down in, I wanna say, season 2, Melfi in Employee of the

If you change the setting to Afghanistan and keep the plot as is, all the main cast become villainous terrorists

Although in the next episode (I think) he finds the acid incident hilarious. AJ's aversion to violence only seems to come, interestingly, when it's directed towards minorities. I guess it's the Blanca connection

I think Carmela could have been that loving, contented spouse had Tony been faithful and loving towards her. Despite what she had become by the start of the show, I don't think she is "all about things," I think it's a coping mechanism for the emptiness and rot of the rest of her life, and her unwillingness to take

I think he loved Carmela and, interestingly enough, Janice too. I don't think there was anything they could have done for him to kill them. But I guess it depends on how you think about love. It is pretty much without a doubt that he loved AJ and Meadow
