I always got the impression that Tony resented Chris trying to better himself. So Tony is either disgusted by Chris' alcoholism/drug addiction or resentful of Chris trying to help himself - Chris can never win with this guy. This is all, of course, because Tony has his evil, criminal vices that he would never even

Isn't he mostly out of control in this episode because he's been losing a lot of money gambling? If that's atypical, it wouldn't be a side of him we'd have seen before. Especially considering how his personality evolved pretty dramatically since the shooting.

I think this is a better way of thinking about it than assigning one main relationship per season.

It isn't punishing a character to give them a tragic fate. It isn't bad storytelling to include a depressing takeaway message, like that some people get dealt a raw hand. I think most people here agree that transgendered people face a lot of hardship because of widespread ignorance and bigotry. How is it wrong to tell

I actually thought the first half of Community's third season was far superior to the last half. It makes me nervous for the fourth season. I agree with you about the first two seasons though. I actually might prefer them to Arrested Development, mostly because I think they stand alone better. Arrested Development I

I read it but found most of it difficult to agree with. For example, all the times the author tries to persuade us that Wanda and the lesbians are presented as inferior to Barbie. I totally disagree with that: Wanda is shown to have her shit together wayyy more than Barbie. And she is not a shitty nurturing figure

I see absolutely no transphobia in Wanda's storyline. In fact, she was easily my favorite character from this arc and I think that was Gaiman's intent. Wanda consistently demonstrates compassion and bravery all throughout A Game of You. Taking in that homeless woman in during the storm was a wonderful, thoughtful

I liked this episode. I like everyone keeps trying to get Dexter to say he likes killing people. It's gonna be his "I'm an alcoholic" moment for sure.
