I like Daario because he's so comically a bad boy whose nonsense would impress a teenager and probably only a teenager. But I like the books and the setting and I'm not in a big hurry to have them get done.

Also, Robert Baratheon for going hunting, rather than dealing with things, and for letting himself get gutted by a boar.
They could just promote the Riverrun equivaletn of Ser Rodrik to take the Blackfish's role for that bit. Or just change it around to have Jaimie talk Edmure into surrendering. It just needs to show Jaimie's newfound maturity and ability at dealing with thigns other than with his sword.
Edmure gets his ass kicked by Jaimie twice off screen in the first book and is in chains outside Riverrun when the army of the North shows up and puts things to rights.
Vague spoilers that are quite vague.
My liege,
I always took the point as just to give some R +L=J hints or at least to cast doubt on the official story of Rhaegar and Lyanna. And Martin likes to meander. He probably like to meander to the days of more noblish knights most of all, a la Dunk and Egg.

Her machinations in getting her army of Unsullied and dealing with the warlocks in Qarth are really badass.
They should at least have him show up with a beard as a nod to the books, but they've not conveyed in the show that Barristan the Bold was a huge deal, so either way the impact of him showing up and joining Dany's cause will be lessened.

"…their reasons for marrying Tyrion off to Sansa (which is ultimately
part of the reason Tyrion is arrested). Why bother marrying Tyrion to
Sansa when they could claim Winterfell through Jeyne Lannister's

I remember the Sorrowful Man, but I don't think we ever got word of who hired him. That's after the House of the Undying scene, so it seems likely it's one the factions in Qarth that Dany's pissed off by that point.
Probably very influenced by early Yoko Ono.
I've always wondered if her and grandma tried to engineer the whole trial thing by having her get moon tea from someone they'd know to be in the Lannister's pocket. They might be able to figure how Cersei would try to use the information and know that Margaery would be found innocent.
Yeah, once Margaery is married to Tommen, her priority as far the game of thrones is to make sure she he passes a throne down to one of her sons.
When is water boarding and other tortures necessary? When you've got to gin up some nonsense to help your boss' reelection is what it's been used for most recently.
@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus The way I remember the story is that Howland shows up at the tournament before it actually gets started, gets jumped by the three squires and Lyanna jumps in and defends him. It's the next day when the tourney actually begins and THEN the mystery Knight of the Laughing…
Theon comes off like a shitty frat boy type and he's weak. I think that's what engenders so much hatred for him. Theon just gets rolled around by everyone. People will respect the well-done mayhem of a Tywin or a Littlefinger, but Theon's too much of whiny teen who feels like he's been fucked over and is acting out in…
I'm pretty sure it was the exact same foley from episode 1 where we're introduced to Tyrion mid-hummer.
That's the thing, I'm not sure that it is a change to Margaery. We don't really ever get a good view of who she is in the books, but politically savy scheming Margaery and innocent grannies' puppet Margaery would probably be indistinguishable to outside view.
