Robin is Howard's foil, she is not on the radio show to be a comedian, nor would she be here.  That said, I'm not sure that dynamic would work on a late night talk show.  Probably not.

The reason Howard can do funny radio 5 hours per day is because he is a very funny person   He doesn't crack one-liners like Artie Lange, but there's more than one way to create humor.   Howard can make any celebrity interview funny, he can make any news story funny, he can make the plight of any of his staff members…

Poor Paige.  Every time she leaves the house, she runs into the scummiest people imaginable.  Ah, well, I guess it's not so easy to write storylines for kids on these high stakes dramas.

Yeah, the series finale was the best episode of The Shield, and the best finale of any series I've seen.   And the penultimate episode 'Possible Kill screen' was probably the second best episode!  Definitely,  they are the gold standard for wrapping up a serial drama.

I could get behind Steve Martin winning an Oscar.  He's insanely talented.  But.. NOT in '84.  F. Murray Abraham as Salieri was just legendary.   One of the all-time great performances.
