Dear Sir Nudeador Viking the Third,

Yeah, I wouldn't take that as the standard for acceptable conduct…

Yeah, that's an interesting connection to the Mary/Joseph reference in the episode, nice!

It does suggest that the struggle to believe in something and resist nihilism is playing out across the country, rather than in just the one small NY town. That seems to be what the GR represent overall— giving up on life, identity, and responsibility in the belief that everything is ultimately meaningless.

I liked it! Slower-paced, for sure, but I thought it was a nicely done character study of Kevin and Jill.

I didn't see the baby-doll-toss as a joke, but as an extension of Kevin's growing nihilism, much like his shift in attitude towards shooting the dogs at the end of the first episode. In this episode, he seems to be struggling with whether it's worthwhile to try to rescue something that has just symbolic meaning, i.e.

Oy, I liked this episode a lot more than Sonia did, but there's no need for the harsh language and the personal attacks.

Frankly, I'm surprised by the strong negative reaction that I'm seeing. This show has a contemplative tone that's definitely slower-moving than some, but I find the characters to be strongly written and realistically motivated, and the mysteries to be quiet but compelling. The show isn't super-fast-paced, but it does

I was intrigued by that comment, too. It's possible that Helena was referring to Mrs. S, since (if I remember correctly) she told Sarah last week that she'd followed her "from mother's house" after tailing her from S's old residence.
