Haha I wouldn't say I'm in the know. I got curious after hearing them vaguely refer to Pat not being on the telethon anymore and found the NNF page on Reddit. I don't know why Scharpling has never been on NNF besides geography.

I would imagine that there's more to the personal side of it, but everything I've read has been speculation. Sometimes people just grow apart.

Apparently, Jimmy and Matt wanted to reduce Pat's presence on the Pardcast-a-thon, so they offered to have him host an episode of Rock Solid during a break instead of being second co-host. Pat refused so Jimmy and Matt removed him entirely. This is all third-hand info at best, so if anyone has better details, please

Man, that Capital One commercial is… something.

For what it's worth, the update says she was a professional racer, but that this was her first stunt job.

Seconded on "Shrink." Wish it had gotten more attention.

I remember somehow seeing a bit where he ran onto a field during a youth soccer game, stole the ball and kicked a goal. That was pretty funny. The rest was just hateful and self-centered to me.

The question of our times.

Did the ADL make any such demands? And is there only one "right" response to art?

Funny, I always skip through the kid calls. I just picture their stage dad looming over them egging the kid on.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for night mayor.

Oh yeah. It's a small museum, but so awesome.

I wonder if the press release had these errors and the AV Club writer didn't bother to double-check, or if she really thought those songs were in there (and didn't bother to double-check).

As a very casual Star Wars fan, I've often wondered why so many people love to celebrate Darth Vader and the stormtroopers. Fans are aware that they are the bad guys, right?

Came here for this.

He's gotten into Twitter fights with fans and always seems to be talking about his critics in interviews. He should just let it go.

No, I'm a baseball fan. Stopped watching NFL years ago. I remember him coming across as phony during NFL games, like his idea of a "cool" guy. But I think he's a solid and knowledgeable baseball announcer. Not the best but far from the worst.

He's good at calling baseball, not so good at football. I don't really get the hate, though he doesn't do himself any favors being so thin-skinned about criticism.

Agreed. Does Rabin consider a recurring role on The Simpsons the be-all and end-all of acting jobs? What sort of "fascinating" stories about talking into a microphone did he expect?

I think this is based on an E.L. Doctorow short story. Wonder if he was involved in the script before he died.
