It reminds me of some of the criticisms I saw regarding sexism in True Detective. While some of the criticisms of objectification had a valid point, I saw others who wanted one of the detectives to be female and save the day in the end. Which seemed to miss that one of the ideas of the show was how thoroughly sexist…
