Sure, sure, see my comment below as to how what I really think we need is more accurate language to talk about these things.

Clowney was bad luck for sure. But they rejected Teddy Bridgewater in favor of an offensive lineman who couldn't crack the starting lineup, their third round pick went on IR (and apparently couldn't pick up the defense), their other third-round pick was a third-string tight end, they thought Tom Savage was a legit…
Matt Weiner has said in interviews he really does love his characters and wants them to be happy, and that makes it all the harder to write the times they're not. (I think I read it in Alan Sepinwall's book, when he was talking about the end of season 1.)
Mad Men and Breaking Bad also weren't developed in-house, probably not coincidentally.
Am I the only one who thought of this?
Glee came on right after Jeopardy!, and I was like, hey, Jim Rash! Then I changed the channel.
I have the Cowboys lower down on my "root against" list simply because I think Tony Romo is underrated by the general public, and it would be cool to see him win a Super Bowl.
There are a lot of obnoxious players in the NFL, but few that reach Bryant's level of arrogance. His inability to control his emotions is kind of embarrassing.
Peerless Price was a decent #2, and then Atlanta offered to pay a #1's price in trade for him, so, see ya later.
Don Beebe chasing down Leon Lett was like the greatest moment in the history of the sport for racist football fans.
The Texans' last couple of drafts have been awful. I think Alfred Blue was their most productive rookie this year. And some crazy high number of last year's draftees weren't on the active roster to start this year. (Just looked it up— six out of nine, including both third rounders! How do you screw up a draft so badly…
The worst part about the nepotism thing is that half the time Buck sounds like he doesn't want to be there. It's like he went into the family business out of some kind of obligation, and can barely conceal it. He's the Michael Bluth of announcing.
I'm sure Scott Walker is rigging something as we speak.
I'd like to see the Seahawks and Pats play- I mean, that's not what I'm rooting for, but it would be nice if, instead of a rematch, Carroll had to face a coach who game planned for specific opponents.
You kid, but PFTCommenter and Paul F. Tompkins got into it on Twitter today before the latter realized the former was a gimmick.
"Turns out Agent Carter’s toughest battle is against sexism"
Ooh, I might pick up Our Year just based on those two tracks. Two personal favorites.
You keep using this word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Actually, maybe this more suggests that we need better terms for the wide range of opinions on the political spectrum, because "liberal" and "conservative" are clearly too limited, when we're talking about a number of factors: economics, social programs, civil liberties, level of authoritarian-ness, etc.
What I am criticizing is the inaccuracy of the previous comment, which tends to happen when you use such a broad brush as "American liberals." I and plenty of people I know could be characterized that way, and we don't have "Killing those different from us" in our belief system.
