Old man, look at your tweets, they're a lot like mine are.

Time to listen to "Here Comes a Regular" and feel adequately weary!

I just feel incredibly ambivalent about them.  They exist.  Good for them?  I guess?  They are the soundtracks to the lives of my ex-girlfriends, but they ain't ever gonna be the soundtrack to my own.

That line he gives at the end of the first documentary, about how he hopes he becomes a sort of boogie man of West Memphis, sent a shiver down my spine.  He said this AFTER HE WAS CONVICTED OF MURDERING CHILDREN.  That's fucked up.  And then he just sort of laughs that line off in the second doc.  There is something

Such a strange show to be able to have the premise that it has and still draw out the pathos. Underneath the thing, there's a whole lot of sad loneliness going on.  Elijah Wood does nail sad human pretty well, doesn't he?

Wait until Green Day's new album comes out.  The hate will flow.

Nickleback and Linkin Park also sell a bunch of crappy albums.  Despite the fact that we can all see how awful and redundant Dave Matthews is, the vast majority of people do not think about the music they are buying.  They are robots.  This is how bad artists make money—not by appealing to the smart people, but by

Mark Knopfler is more tasteful and subtle than Dave Matthews.  Water is wet.  Other obvious things.
