Sorry this is so long!!! I have a lot of thoughts and feeling on this subject, but honestly the TL;DR covers the main points, so don't feel obligated to read the rest of my musings if you're not super interested.

I'm not an Autostraddle writer, just a longtime reader and enthusiast : )

Avoiding the 90% of stuff I don't want to see (or am just indifferent towards) on porn websites contributes significantly to my preference for visiting community-based aggregation fora when I'm in the (occasional) mood to watch some porn. Also, yeah, I really really am not into the incest thing because I know way too

Hello! I'm not trans, but I'm in my twenties and queer and have numerous awesome trans woman friends, and my meager advice is to read Autostraddle (especially if you are bi/pan/queer/lesbian/etc), and also to read Whipping Girl by Julia Serano and obviously tumblr exists but it can be pretty intense sometimes so

Wowow that was super awful of him! Invalidating, entitled, and just generally horrifically rude. If a person don't want to have sex with another person that is obviously okay, but there are approximately a billion more gracious ways of declining such a proposal than his absolute nonsense. I am seriously not impressed

Sherlock episodes are also 90min long (and there are three episodes per season, so the whole thing is a bit unorthodox), so the scenario and joke is not so unrealistic as to be ridiculous :)

Ok, no wall of text from me on this one. Mostly my thoughts are a) I want to watch "The Sickening" so badly, b) Brian is distractingly attractive (and his grading of things is cuter than it has any right to be), and c) that was a jerk move on Alice's part not to get back to Dev in a reasonable timeframe, and that was

Thanks for sharing the impact this episode had on you. I wrote a bit (or rather more than that) about my own experiences and their reflection in this episode in another comment below, but you touched on something I didn't mention, which is the "tight-knit, mutually-sacrificing" nature of both Brian and Dev's families.

I've been lurking here for three years now, and this episode blew me away so entirely
that I felt compelled to try ignore how intimidatingly witty and insightful y'all are, and share some of my thoughts. So, hallo, and please be gentle :)

Nooo, don't leave us, Todd!

Yay, Babylon 5 :D Season 2 is one of my favourite seasons - techno mages! inquisitors! other things that are spoilers! - but I need the motivation of keeping up with Rowan K's awesome reviews to get me through the sad parts.

or, as it's called on another favourite internet haunt of mine: Shark Week :)

I agree, that was great :)

Thank you for finally mentioning that possibility! I've was a season or so behind on the show and just caught up, and it's been so frustrating reading the reviews and comments sections where everyone is debating whether he is gay or straight without recognizing that it would be entirely possible for him to come out as

And that scientist was played by Jim Parsons real-life boyfriend!

I have only a mild fondness for Big Bang Theory, but I really like Jim Parsons. He's obviously tremendously talented, and he is so sweet and lovely and funny during interviews and such. I very much would like my perceptions of him and Tom Hiddleston to remain inspiring and not heartbreaking.
