So in that last flashback scene, Don tells Roger that Roger hired him. Did Roger actually say "welcome aboard" or did Don just tell him that he did and then get in the elevator?

I don't mind slow-paced shows, but I think the show has to earn the right to go this slow. The episodes that we've seen are something I would expect maybe midway through the second or third season of a series where you already know the characters and have gotten a feel for what the show is about.
