Peggy's brain will always share the jar with Don's.

In Sylvia's case I think you may be correct.

I enjoyed Roger's lie in the airport, when he told Don the heavy-hitting agency was just screwing with them about losing Vick's, when in fact he'd just been told the truth (and had the subtly worried look to go with it). I wonder what Don's reaction would have been if he had realized just how much was riding on the

This show sounds awesome, right up until the Godfather-inspired montage of CTE suicides in season two.

re: Betty's "girlfriend" burn, she was also right on the money: At that exact moment Don was preoccupied with the fate of his girlfriend in D.C.

The insurance scene fit to me as a portrait of just how fucked up the country was in early 1968, and how much worse it was about to get. This is the point when we really lost the thread for about a decade or so.

Initially I took it as a heckler responding to Newman's politics. And once I gathered someone had been shot I assumed it was Robert Kennedy, probably because they primed the pump with the McCarthy/RFK speech by Newman. I had to listen very, very closely during the replay to hear the reference to MLK.

I was impressed by how well they folded the Kennedy assassination into the show's universe, too, and managed to mirror the cataclysmic national mood (end song: "Don't They Know It's the End of the World?") in the final unraveling of the Draper marriage.

I also thought that was a particularly great line for Roger, who would hold talking in such high esteem because it's his only skill.

Can't wait to launch my new dating site, CatastropheMatch dot com.

'Children of Men' may be the only movie I'll vouch for due to legitimately kick-ass action despite issues with the story. The third act may be the only one that works but the single-track street-fighting sequence is really astonishing.

I'll be shocked if Cruise is ever in a better movie than 'All the Right Moves.'

Don't forget Combo, yo.

I'm from Mississippi, and like a lot of educated, liberal-minded natives I left for bluer (albeit still Southern) territory. But @Daffy_Dick is right, you really don't know anything about Mississippi. It's no coincidence a place so diverse and conflicted has produced the literary tradition it has.

Don's taste in women is bizarre. During his climactic S3 fight with Betty, all I could think was "Hot, sympathetic teacher in the car! Get the hell out of there!" I don't have any particular problem with Megan, but under the circumstances, choosing a secretary he barely knew over a professional equal who…

Finished re-watching season four of 'Mad Men' in anticipation of season six. Fans of this show really should be carrying the kind of torch for Faye Miller that they do for Sal Romano. Larger, actually. Poor Dr. Faye.

An immediate opening for Twitter Assistant is available.

I'd believe anything about Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, but Manti Te'o? The takeaway of that story for me was that he is square to the extreme.

@avclub-a1967e6de4ca99fb2635d94b99453928:disqus  Sal did the "Bye Bye Birdie" dance for his wife in their bedroom, not in the office, and she looked like she'd just been hit by a falling strobe light.
